NOTE: that this is NOT the Cd's artwork; it is merely a placeholder until I can find the real cover.

Hawaii-only Promo CD

This was a promo CD that they gave out in concerts in Hawaii. It contains some tracks from "Knock Knock Knock", the Sub-Pop demo "Inventing Words", some live tracks (including "Cancel Your Plans", an unreleased song) and some remixes (one of them from the No, Not Now single) [info here].

Your New Favorite Cd

Apperently Sub-Pop put out this 1-track Cd that contains only the track "Oh, Godammit". [info] Frankly, I'm skeptical of this, because:

1. There is no indication of Hot Hot Heat's name or Sub-Pop's logo anywhere on the cover art
2. Neither Hot Hot Heat nor Sub-Pop gives any mention of it
3. It only has one track
4. The above track is easily availible on "Make Up the Breakdown"

Here is the proposed tracklisting anyway.

Oh, Godammit

S/T Cassette Demo

This is Hot Hot Heat's very first release, waaaay back in 1999. It mostly contains songs already availible on their S/T 7"s", but it contains a song that isn't availible elsewhere: "Rice Panda Explosion", the holy grail for old-school HHH fans. The versions of the other songs here are the same as on the EPs.
(Special thanks to Mell for the mp3s :] )

Fashion Fight Pause

Tourist In Your Own Town

Matador At The Door

Spelling Live Backwards

Your Ruining It For Everyone

Rice Panda Explosion

RELEASES BY OTHERS HAVING SOMETHING TO DO WITH HHH:

ggg.jpg

An entire 7-song set from the band's early days:

A show that they played at a friend's house (date of performance:  2000). This, as it turns out, is from the Split CD they did with The Red Light Sting.
(SPECIAL THANKS TO MELL FOR THE MP3S :] )
Matador at the Door

Paco Pena

Spelling Live Backwards

Tourist In Your Own Town

hothotbowie.jpg

PartyBen - Hot Hot Bowie - Let's Dance With Me

A white-label mash-up of Bowie and Hot Hot Heat. About it in his own words:

"(Hot Hot Heat "Talk To Me, Dance With Me" vs. David Bowie "Let's Dance") You know, the kids from Hot Hot Heat actually gave me a copy of the acapella from this song and I never made anything that great out of it. I think they might have been expecting some superstar David Morales-style megamix which I am unfortunately incapable of."

OTHER COLLECTIONS:

Fourth Album Demos

These are demo bits for new songs that are being recorded for the new album. (I got them from the "Weekly Studio Clips" on the Video section on hothotheat.com.)

Untitled Demo (A semi-done song that apperently hasn't been named)

Happiness LTD. Demo (Luke working on the outro)

Good Day To Die Demo (Various parts)

Setting Son Demo (Various Parts)

Another Untitled Demo
(A drum beat that probably won't be on the album, as Paul explains on the clip.)

Sub-Pop Demos

These were demos that they did for a demo tape for Sub-Pop that got them signed. They are usually floating around the Internet, but they are here in their entirety in one place.

Inventing Words

So Horrible

MISC. ITEMS:

The Phones

Before Steve Bays was playing keyboards in Hot Hot Heat, he did an assortment of solo demos. This is one of them. I have two things here: a 40-second part of it that widely circulated the Internet and the full 3-minute version.

The Phones (40-Second Part) (note: mp4 format) (Special thanks to megz29_29 for the file :] )
